January 7, 2017 at 03:45 in reply to: Cascading Dropdowns creating problems on EditForm and Backend Config #14900I retraced the steps in Chrome and get the same experience. I’m attaching the error that was thrown in the Chrome debugger.
It references the first destination column but when I remove that from the configuration, it throws the same error for the next destination column.
When I delete the Casc config, the problem goes away.

I’m embarrassed that I missed that. Thanks for the quick response.
January 2, 2017 at 02:32 in reply to: Cascading Dropdowns creating problems on EditForm and Backend Config #14846I’m using SP 2010
SP 2010 for me. Upon upgrading to 4.4.2, all forms for all lists were throwing errors or displaying blank; I could see the tabs but no columns/content. After several minutes, all forms started working again with one exception (a display form for a custom list). I downgraded DFFS for that form to an older version which resolved the issue. Since then, issues have been intermittent across other lists.
I know “issues” doesn’t give you enough information and I haven’t thought to keep the developer toolbar open throughout the day when these items present themselves so I’ll capture data/screenshots when I see something again.
One thing to note: after the upgrade experience, I ended up deleting the entire DFFS library and rebuilding it with v4.4.1.3 files but it didn’t seen to have any effect.
Same experience here. I eventually downgraded to version 4.4.1.3 and it loaded the form (after rebuilding the config) but now I’m hit with a variety of intermittent issues such as vLookups not loading, random javascript errors, and autocomplete not functioning.
That helps a lot, thank you!
Alexander, how would this be different for a text/choice column (e.g., health)?
Phil, I’ve experienced the same and noticed it only works when running as IE9 or IE10 (compatibility meta tag). I’m running IE11 and noticed my master page was running the IE8 compatibility tag so I created a copy of the master and changed the tag to IE10.
Alex, do you know of a way to show annotations for specific series? I have four lines/columns on my line chart and I only want data values to appear for two of those lines.
Good catch, that fixed it. Thank you sir.
Disregard, amateur mistake. It’s working now.
I have tested that, with many variations in the URL. I can’t find a combination of URL and list GUID that works – keep getting “failed to query list”.
Solved! My master page was set to run in compatibility with IE8. Changing that tag to IE9 caused other issues elsewhere in the site so I created a copy of that master page to run in IE9 mode as aligned it with the page housing my charts.
Thanks for the tip!
