Thanks Alex. This is working for custom JS.
Mike
I have tried several ways of implementing the above but to no avail. Do you have a little more time to flesh out where the code would go, etc? I can wait a few days. No rush.
I was hoping your CSS and JS from above (which work quite well) could be adapted to reference a specific tabID. Is that not possible or advisable?

Alex,
How can I ensure the above date variables return a chosen time zone, e.g., “America/Chicago” or GMT-5?
I have a similar question related to using the timestamp variable in a Tab rule for ‘Set field value.’ Currently {timestamp[MM/dd/yyyy]} returns the UTC date. I would like to return a chosen time zone, e.g., “America/Chicago” for this field as well.
Thanks,
MikeAlex,
This is a very nice solution for repositioning the tabs. I need to take it one step further and be able to choose which tabs (based on TabID I suppose) to position vertically. That will allow me to have a set of horizontal tabs for one audience and a set of vertical tabs for another audience (based on Permission Groups).
Thanks for your help as always. DFFS is truly an awesome tool.
MikeWorks great Alexander. Having the option to write to either a text field or a date field will come in handy.
Thank you.
MikeWorks great Alexander. Just one final request: I’d like to have the date written to the field in the format MM/DD/YYYY, without the time, e.g., 10/23/2019.
Thanks
MikeUnfortunately, this script updates the Date field whenever the Display form is opened or refreshed. The Date field should only capture the date (time is no longer needed) corresponding to when the DFFS email was sent. It could simply capture today’s date (and then never change if the Display or Edit form is opened). I could set this script to fire in a rule perhaps . . but it still needs something that will trigger when the email was sent (button pressed to start email process).
Thanks
MikeUnfortunately it now returns a blank reverse lookup. Any tips to try?

I’ve attached a suitably masked screen shot of the list settings page for each list (Parent and Child).

I have attached a ZIP file with screen shots, Custom JS, and a diagram. They are numbered in the order that I think would be most helpful for reviewing the issue and match the diagram.
These results were captured on lists using the latest DFFS version (4.4.4.10) on a local installation of SP 2013. The setup is pretty straight forward in both lists. Let me know if you need anything else.
Thanks for your help,

Sharing the screen is not possible for this local installation. Are there screen shots that might be helpful?
Mike
I am on a local installation of SharePoint 2013.
I’ve tried a few other things but to no avail. Can you help me with my post from Sep 11?
Thanks
MikeI am using SP 2013 on premises. 15K Large list threshold.
The first solution returns a blank reverse lookup (no change from original problem).
The second solution returns “There are no related items” constantly. I assumed the second solution was to use the complete script that I had working for the other case (i.e., DFFS Cascading dropdowns with common text strings) and use the query above.
Note that I had two typos in my diagram. See attached Parent and Child corrections in BOLD text.
