update: sorry about all the posts but maybe someone is following along…
I deleted the config for the edit form again. When entering dffs on the edit form, instead of copying from the new form this time I just created a new config and it seems to have solved the issue. That being said, seems like maybe the new version does not like either the rules or tabs of js or css or html or something. It is highly customized form for anyone wondering.update to above… I deleted the config for it. reinstalled dffs on the list. Opened the edit form and copied the config from the new form. same error. will try to create a brand new one.
ok still working through a few things. In a list leveraging jslink. I ran the setup, uninstalled the jslink, installed using the installer. The new form works great and as expected. The edit form gives me the error dffs loader failed to load. /sites…/…dffs/js/dffs_backend_min.js. attaching picture.
I tried to delete the record in the config list (spjs configuration) for the edit form, re-import the config and same error.
On display form, it sits at the overlay and never recovers. I will continue to troublshoot.
OK last update I think. I completely deleted the spjs library and its contents. Something in there seems to have been the issue. I then recreated the library, uploaded the dffs folder to it, recreated a new list and installed dffs on it and it is now working. Great work sir as always!
OK so I am updating my last post. For some reason it is not working. I deleted the old dffs folder and uploaded the new 21st one after making sure the vars are correct. The install on a new list goes fine. When I go to the form, the overlay loads fine but then I get the error that dffs is not installed correctly.
I make a new site and a new list. Do the same thing and everything works fine. I am assuming there is something left over causing the original to not work. I am going to dig a little further.

ok great info! I think I mis spoke here. the main question I have is this.
I create a spjs library on the root site. upload the DFFS folder and everything works great.
I go to a subsite and want to install dffs. Do I need to add the spjs library and dffs to the subsite or is there a way to create just a page in the subsite and point it to the root installer file? Hope this makes more sense but so far, awesome as always!ok I know I am not giving you what you want but that is because I am trying to get our team to abandon the old version first. I have no problem going back as this seems to have solved the issue. I was using the JSlink but now am back to CEWP. When I enter the setup, I get this version info.
Dynamic Forms for SharePoint DFFS Backend v4.352|4.10|spjs-utility version: 1.25I am still going to do some testing and get you what you are looking for however, Just need time. Again, I appreciate all your help!
Also, I am now using the JSLink method instead of the CEWP method which may be the issue. Not sure.
I may have found an issue. My masterpage loads 1.7.1 jquery. This has not caused an issue in the past as i used a CEWP to point to the correct version you would bundle in earlier versions. What version can I go back to that might be compatible with 1.7.1? If not know i will go through a few older versions until i find one that works. Thanks!
ok so I put someone elses name in the “To” field and it also returns invalid. It looks to be working only if I use “currentUserEmail”. To be clear, this method still only works for everyone BUT me. The plot thickens.
ok so I am just thinking out loud here. Using a rule to fill in my name “{currentUser:Name}” fills my name in just fine. but for some reason I am still not considered a valid user in the Email and Print setup. Also, I did not get one when I used the workflow ass well but seems to work for everyone else…. hmm
OK please disregard this for now. It would seem that it works for everyone BUT me…. Apparently I am invalid lol….
Clarification, I meant the “Start the timer” button. I would like it to show when I add a new child record. Thanks again.
April 27, 2016 at 18:48 in reply to: Unable to get Child Items to Display in Parent List View #11297A few things real quick. I had the same issue and this topic solved it. Just a quick something I was thinking about. I was unable to search this forum so I had to page through and read every topic to find the correct one to help. Am I missing the search for this or just plain being an idiot? lol as always, great work!
Good day sir. This worked great for getting from one form to another. I looked through your forums and cannot come up with a way to redirect a user to a simply URL like http://www.mysite.com
I am using the current version of DFFS
I am using sharepoint 2013
I used this $(“input[id$=’diidIOSaveItem’]”).attr(“onclick”,”window.history.back()”); but of course that did not work out that well…only partially because I do notknow what I am doing. Is there a bit of code I can add to the Custom JS in DFFS that will submit that data on save and redirect a user to a URL?
Thanks!!!
