This took forever!

      Hey there,

      We have setup and used DFFS for last 3 years now and in the last few weeks every now and then encountered an issue where the list item is not loading “This took forever! Click to close this overlay.”
      In the console I can see the issue seems to be with the DFFS_frontend.min.js and JQurey.js. Error is: “Failed to execute “insertBefore’ on ‘Node’: The new child element contains the parent.” I have attached a screenshot of the error as well.

      Any advise? Also, our DFFS version is as followed:
      DFFS Backend: v4.4.3.58
      CSS version: 4.46/4.46
      spjs-utility version: 1.328

      Should we download the newer version? As we have the version from November 2018 from looking at the Change log …

      We use SharePoint Online with Classic sites and list etc.

      I’m not sure exactly why you get this error now, but because you have an older version it could be changes to the browser or SharePoint that causes it to fail.

      I would recommend updating to the latest version – and also to change to the new DFFS installer v2: https://spjsblog.com/dffs/dffs-installation-manual/#Upgrading_from_a_previous_version
