We’re using DFFS front end 4.257 and backend 4.255 and the goal is to trigger an alert message on change of a date field within the edit form. The alert message (or javascript function we’re calling) is not triggered when the sharepoint calendar control is used in edit form of the item. The alert message / function WILL trigger if I click into the date field, edit the date, then tab out of the field. Any workarounds on this to get either the DFFS alert or the function we’ve made to trigger when using the calendar control to edit the value? Any help is appreciated.

        Frontend: 4.257
        Backend: 4.255

          Hi,
          I have a few questions:

1: Which version of SharePoint are you using?
2: Are you using the stock date picker (and not jQueryUI)?
3: What trigger are you using in the rule in DFFS?

          Alexander

I have confirmed this bug, and have fixed it in v4.266 of DFFS frontend.

Please test it and let me know if it works as expected now.

                Good morning,

We’ve downloaded and installed DFFS front v4.266 and re-tested. The calendar control is still not triggering the DFFS alert.

                  Hi,
Are you 100% sure you use the latest DFFS frontend in this particular form? – if you hover over the “Enhanced with DFFS” text at the bottom of the form, does the correct version number show?

Sorry for the delay. We’ve confirmed the issue is something to do with our custom JS, which we have a LOT of. We tried another list that didn’t have any custom JS and upgraded it to front end 4.266 and it worked fine. Thank you!

Thank you for the feedback. Let me know if you have trouble sorting this out – I might have a look at your custom code if you like.

                      Alexander
