Blog comments in SharePoint online

Hi there,

I have a request from my users to put rich comments in a blog (currently only plain comments) and was wondering whether your solution will work?

I think it’s mainly because the blogs are subsites from a team site so would like to keep it all in one place.

Is that possible?

Hi,
Sorry for the delay. CommentBox supports rich text trough the “tinyMCE” plugin. See “richTextInputUsingTinyMCE” in the installation manual: https://spjsblog.com/commentbox-for-sharepoint/installation-manual/

Thanks Alexander, I got that sorted but how do I enter it now into a blog and make sure that I can have a conversation after a each new blog, without intervening?

You need to put the solution in a web part in the page where your blog posts are “read” – most likely this page: “/Lists/Posts/Post.aspx”. Just edit the page, and add CommentBox in stead of the built in “Comments”.
