      I am attempting to use autocomplete on a list that contains about 2,000 items. It takes several seconds (3-10) of searching before the results are returned. Are there any tricks to speed this up?

      I find Firefox to be much faster than IE (forget Edge) when using SharePoint with large lists, 47,000 item drop downs, etc.

      Hi,
      I would suggest using the userREST and preloadData settings.

      Let me know how this works out.

      Thanks, Alex! That worked like a charm. I was afraid to try preloaddata since it was a large list and I thought it would slow down the form initialization but it doesn’t and the lookup is immediate now. Thanks again!
