I thought I saw a similar post but couldn’t find it so am starting a new thread. Do you have any plans for an enhancement to allow the user to do a mass import into vLookup from an Excel file? My users have requested this functionality but I know it is not possible now.

          Hi,
The vLookup child items are stored in a list so you can use datasheet view and copy and paste from your excel file. Just ensure you set the correct value in the column you use to connect your “parent” list item with your vLookup children.

Just so I understand – from one of the forms I would need to figure out how to direct the user to a datasheet list view of the child list, then they would need to know the correct _vLookup[parent]id and correct fields to copy/paste from a spreadsheet? I’ll look into this but don’t be surprised if I need assistance! Thank you.

What kind of data are your users planning to move from Excel? – is it a one time import, or something they plan to do regularly?
