Hiding multiple repeated entries in comment field

Hi,
Don’t know if you can help but I have a comment field and it is set to append new text to the old text but on my form I get a repeated entry in the field every time the record is saved even if that field has not been changed or added to.

This may be nothing to do with DFFS but is there a way to stop it from happening?

This is not a DFFS issue, but I think this is a bug when the Note field is of type Rich text and not either plain text or Enhanced rich text. If it is Rich text you must NOT change it to plain text (you will loose formatting), but you can change it to Enhanced rich text in the list settings.
