Calculations in non-editable field of New form.aspx

In NewForm.aspx, I want some fields which are calculated but non-editable.

I tried following blog to show calculated columns but its not working in new form

It is showing me error” Cannot read property of null”. I verified internal name but its correct.

I kept some number fields which can digest calculations by writing scripts in Custom JS area. This solution is perfect except field is editable
Can you suggest me how we can do calculations(simple additions) in New form.

Hi,
You cannot use the method you link to as this is based on getting the values from the db, but as you are in NewForm, no item exists in the db.
