        If my users are fast enough they can add extra characters and click off the autocomplete box before it validates and this allows them to save a value which doesn’t exist in the dropdown.

        Is there a way to force the autocomplete to validate when they click save?

          Hi,
          I have already fixed this issue in the latest BETA SPJS-Autocomplete v1.5.4 BETA (March 12, 2017), but haven’t been able to wrap it up into a proper “production” release because I have struggled with some changes to DFFS. You should be able to download the DFFS BETA package and extract the spjs-ac.js plugin from it to update your current version.

          Please let me know how this works out.
