How to sort

I am using version 3.7.13 and I would like to sort the items by a field in my lookup list, not alpha. Could you help me understand how to follow these instructions:

Sorting of the options

The default sort order of the items is alphabetically, but when using the pipe delimited options you control the sort order manually when you add the options in the textarea.

If your data source list where you get the options for the casc is in a format where you have for example the country in the Title field, and all the cities in a multiline text field with a pipe delimiter like this the sort order is not modified:

Title________Multiline
Norway____Oslo|Bergen|Stavanger
