We have set up DFFS to create a database with multiple lists. ONE of the lists needs to be shared with other team members (all other lists are ONLY shared with a small HR team). I have been testing and I’m running into some issues when trying to view or edit a list item. I have added permissions for a test user on the list and on the SPJS document library. My test user can access and see the list (except the lookup column that connects to another list — but that is fine). However, when the test user clicks on the item to view or edit, I get the error “No configuration found. This form hasn’t been configured with Modern DFFS.” I strongly prefer not to give them permissions at the top level of the site because I don’t want to break the inherited permissions of all of the other lists and any future document libraries with potentially sensitive information that the other users should not see. Is there anything that I can do to allow specific users to see only this list and be able to view/edit the list items?

          Hi,
I’m not sure if I understood you correctly, but if you want to use Modern DFFS on a list form, you must grant read access to the Modern DFFS configuration list for all users. This list is hidden by default and inherits the permissions from the site.

If your users do not have at least read access to the site (and thus read access to the configuration list) you must go into list settings for the DFFS configuration list, break inheritance and grant read access to all users.

You can access the configurations list by typing in the URL in the browser address field like this:

          .../sites/your_site/lists/DFFSConfigurationList

Almost there! I granted the user read access to the DFFS Configuration list using your instructions. Now, when I click (as that user) to open an item on the list, it loads, but there is a pop up saying that the trial period has ended and I can’t access the item. When viewing the list as the test user, there is not a red warning bar at the top. This error does not occur when logged in as myself with full access to the site.

I forgot that you also need to grant read access to the hidden list where the license code is stored – same procedures as with the configuration list – access it like this.

              .../sites/your_site/lists/DFFS_LICENSE

That worked! Thank you so much for your help!
