Dynamic Viewing of Tabs

Is there a way to dynamically limit who has permissions to view a tab? I know that you can set each tab to be viewed by specific groups, but can you limit that to individual employees or group based upon a selection within the list? For example, based on what department is selected within a field in the list?

You can create a rule that checks the group membership in a group, and then use a rule on the dropdown that uses the “And these rules are true” to verify that the group membership is OK.
