Create rule in child list New Form based on a pre-filled value

Hi Alex – ​I am trying to create a rule in a child list New Form based on a pre-filled value from the parent, but it is not reading the pre-filled value. A co-worker suggested using the Form Ready rule. How do I implement this as the manual is not giving me enough information. Thanks.

Are you using the vLookup plugin? – if so, you must add a function like this in the child NewForm: https://spjsblog.com/vlookup-for-sharepoint/vlookup-user-manual/#vLookupPresetFromUrlDone
